I read recently that the CDC’s guidance on vaccine boosters said that advanced hiv disease can be defined as an HIV positive person with less than 200 T cells or a percentage of 14% or less, with detectable or undetectable viral load. Do you know if this is true? What about hiv positive individuals with an undetectable viral load but their T cells have never gone above 220 and their percentages are in the 12 to 17% range?
